Remembering a legend: Frankie Knuckles

A date to remember the House music legend

If Frankie Knuckles were alive today, we likely would applaud yesterday his 61 birthday.

Is incalculable the contribution to electronic music maded by Knuckles, especially to House style, immortalized thanks to his first sets at the Warehouse club in Chicago finishing 1970.

After his death and in his honor a permanent exhibition was opened at the Stony Island Bank Arts Bank of Chicago with more than 5000 records that were part of his private collection, so it is intended to preserve and honor the memory of a DJ who built from scratch a musical and cultural movement.

This is one of the last video sets of Frankie Knuckles recorded in New York during 2013, 60 minutes to appreciate the quality and the unique style of Knuckles in the mix.
