Here Are the Dance Music GRAMMY Winners

Yesterday, music’s biggest night made its grand return. Despite a challenging start to the year in Los Angeles due to devastating wildfires, the Academy pushed forward without rescheduling the GRAMMY Awards Ceremony. Many mainstream artists and EDM icons stepped up, hosting fundraisers and wildfire relief events to support the community. The show was packed with unforgettable performances, celebrating the artists who brought us magical sounds throughout 2024. The Crypto Arena in Los Angeles was the stage for countless highlights, including the recognition of this year’s best electronic dance music artists. Here are the winners:

GRAMMYs 2025 EDM Winners

Best Dance/Electronic Recording

The award went to Justice and Tame Impala for their track ‘Neverender’. This win marks a triumphant return for the French duo, who also released their latest album, Hyperdrama, this year. Sometimes, an 8-year hiatus from producing full-length albums pays off! Nominees in this category included DisclosureFred Again..Zedd, and KAYTRANADA.

Best Dance/Electronic Album

Charli XCX took home the award for her album BRAT. The “365 partygirl” kept us dancing all year with her infectious music, a tour featuring Troye Sivan, a phenomenal Boiler Room set, and the viral “Brat Summer” movement. Other nominees in this category included Zedd’s TelosFour Tet’s ThreeKAYTRANADA’s TIMELESS, and Justice’s Hyperdrama. Charli also won Best Dance Pop Recording for her hit single ‘Von dutch’.

Best Remixed Recording

This year’s award went to Mark Ronson and FNZ for their Working Late Remix of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’. Sabrina also won Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet.

While there are only a few categories dedicated to dance music, we cherish each one. This year’s winners felt well-deserved, especially compared to past surprises like Beyoncé winning Best Dance Album with Renaissance. Charli XCX, a longtime rave scene icon with extensive production credits, proved her dominance in the genre.
